Here's a little trick to take your Hornet to the limits!
First, open up Hornet and select difficulty from the Edit menu. Unclick crash enable and limited rounds from the “Your Aircraft” section. Then unclick hydraulics, radar, engine, avionics, weapons and other from the “Your Aircraft Damage Enable” section.
Next, fly any mission you choose, and when you get to the weapons select screen, get any weapons you want, but be sure to get a fuel tank. Otherwise your fuel will run out too soon.
When you get to the airbase / aircraft carrier screen, put on full afterburner. Don’t pull up, just stay on the ground like you’re driving, and you can rack up speeds at 4,000 nautical miles per hour and more! Your only limit is how much fuel you have.
If you’re on an aircraft carrier, don’t worry about falling in the water. You can drive right on it!
